Phase Intelligence
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Phase Intelligence is a research initiative operated by its founding team. This Privacy Policy explains how Phase Intelligence collects, uses, and shares information when you use this website, contact us, interact with our open-source projects, or use any hosted research tools or APIs we provide.
Because Phase Intelligence is currently an unincorporated research initiative, references to "we," "us," and "our" in this policy mean Phase Intelligence and the team operating it.
Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to information collected through:
- the Phase Intelligence website and related landing pages;
- email or other direct contact with Phase Intelligence;
- hosted demos, previews, APIs, and research tools we operate; and
- open-source collaboration spaces that we control or monitor directly.
Information We Collect
We try to collect only the information reasonably needed to run the initiative, maintain security, respond to requests, and improve our research systems.
- Contact information, such as your name, email address, affiliation, and the content of messages you send us.
- Access and account information, such as login or API credentials, access status, usage limits, and support history, if we provide private previews or hosted APIs.
- Usage and technical information, such as IP address, timestamps, browser type, device information, request metadata, error logs, and security logs.
- Research inputs and outputs, such as prompts, simulation descriptions, uploaded files, configuration files, generated code, logs, and outputs you submit to or receive from our hosted systems.
- Open-source collaboration data, such as issues, pull requests, commits, discussions, and profile information made available through platforms like GitHub.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and debug the website, tools, and APIs;
- respond to support, access, and collaboration requests;
- review reliability, detect abuse, and enforce usage limits;
- improve research prototypes, documentation, and system behavior;
- publish aggregated or de-identified performance observations; and
- comply with law and protect rights, safety, and security.
Research Inputs and Sensitive Information
Scientific and engineering inputs may contain valuable unpublished research, proprietary workflows, or other sensitive information. Do not submit confidential, regulated, export-controlled, or highly sensitive data unless we have a separate written agreement that permits it.
We do not sell private tool inputs, uploaded files, or API data. We do not use private tool inputs, uploaded files, or API data to train public models unless you explicitly agree, the data is already public, or the data has been aggregated or de-identified so it no longer reasonably identifies you or your project.
Cookies and Analytics
We currently do not use advertising cookies on this website. If we add analytics or measurement tooling later, we will update this policy and prefer privacy-preserving approaches where practical.
How We Share Information
We may share information with infrastructure, repository, email, or security service providers that help us operate the initiative. We may also disclose information if required by law, to investigate abuse, or to protect the security and integrity of our systems and users.
Third-Party Services
Our projects may link to or rely on third-party services such as GitHub, cloud infrastructure providers, package registries, documentation hosts, or external research tools. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Retention and Security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operating services, maintaining security logs, supporting research records, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Retention periods may vary by data type and context. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website, API, or research system is perfectly secure, so you should avoid submitting information that requires a higher level of protection than we explicitly agree to provide.
Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other handling of personal information associated with you. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your request.
If you are located in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, such as California, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children's Privacy
Our website, tools, and APIs are intended for researchers, engineers, students, and professional users. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Visitors
Phase Intelligence may operate infrastructure or use service providers in different countries. By using our website, tools, or APIs, you understand that information may be processed in countries other than where you live.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, tools, APIs, and research practices evolve. If Phase Intelligence later becomes operated by a newly formed legal entity, we may update this policy to reflect that transition. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
